The Problem

Tap water and household plumbing can harbor microbial residues and biofilms that may include pathogens. Utility testing focuses on source water and distribution — not what happens inside your home between the curb stop and your faucet or showerhead.

Our Solution

A homeowner-friendly kit with a capsule filter for water collection and a sterile swab for fixture deposits. Samples are returned to our lab for DNA extraction, metagenomic sequencing, and cloud‑based analytics. You receive an easy‑to‑read report highlighting notable microbes and potential pathogens.

How it Works

1. Collect

Use the capsule filter for water and the sterile swab for your faucet or showerhead.

2. Return

Ship both samples in the prepaid container.

3. Extract DNA

We backflush, suspend and extract DNA from your samples.

4. Sequence

Shotgun metagenomics identifies microbes and viruses present.

5. Report

You receive an easy-to-read report with insights for cleaning and maintenance.
